Coffee Garden is a beloved cafe located in one of the most lively parts of the city! Known for its warm, eclectic atmosphere and strong local following, it serves expertly crafted coffee, pastries, and teas (including Tea Zaanti brews) making it a welcoming hub for community connection and casual weekend rituals.
And great news for us– this shop is one of our most-cherished wholesale partners! Our connection with this shop embodies the collaborative spirit that exists amongst the city’s cafe culture. Together, we invite customers to partake in our interconnectedness. Coffee Garden offers the best of what both shops have to offer!
This past weekend, my partner Avery and I made our way over to 9th and 9th to start our Saturday with a bit of sunshine at the cafe! It was the perfect spring morning: warm enough for patio lounging, but still cool enough to savor a hot drink. The city was humming with weekend energy and we were savoring every bit of it!
Coffee Garden is located in one of the city’s most-loved neighborhoods. Tucked in between local shops, the building itself has a timeless look– like it’s always been there and it always will be. And as soon as we stepped inside, we were assured of this feeling. The comforting aromas of espresso and fresh-baked pastries existing amongst the low murmur of connection and conversations had us feeling immediately comfortable. This one may become a new regular spot for us..
I ordered a warm, vanilla latte and paired it with a zucchini, lemon, and ricotta croissant. The drink was smooth and just sweet enough, and the pastry tasted like the beginning of summer– buttery and bright! Avery went with an iced London Fog (made with Tea Zaanti’s Earl Grey) and a blackberry and raspberry scone. The drink was perfect to enjoy under the late-morning sun, and the pastry was tart and crumbly, in all the right ways!
We grabbed a table on the patio and from there, began watching the city stroll by. People filtered in and out of the cafe; some on their way to weekend plans, others basking, like us, in no hurry at all. The space had a sense of rhythm, like the shop wasn’t just a place to grab coffee, but a meeting point or a hub where locals connect before scattering into their individual lives.
On that note, one thing that struck me the most was how comfortably local it all felt. This is the kind of place where regulars are on a name-to-name basis with baristas, where first dates, work sessions, and quiet mornings all coexist effortlessly. It reminded me a lot of Tea Zaanti and the feeling I had the first time I stepped into our shop!
These cafes embody the city’s local spirit and vibrant culture.
Avery and I left feeling full, caffeinated, and connected– there is no doubt we will be back for another sunny morning and side-walk, people-watching soon. I recommend popping into this shop to experience a bit of our (TZ and Coffee Garden’s) partnership yourself! I ensure you will be welcomed with a tasty treat and great energy!
