Whether your special someone is new to tea or they’re a lifelong devotee, we’ve got a little something for everyone on your list (yes, even your coffee drinkers) - from stocking stuffers and the office gift exchange to something to wrap and put under the tree. Here are our tip picks:

  • Snacks ($3-$7)! Who serves afternoon tea without a snack of some kind? From mini toasts to fig jam to the global favorite Biscoff cookies everyone needs some fun treats to keep on hand.

  • Disposable tea filters ($6). These aren’t your store bought tea bags- large enough to comfortably steep an entire pot or just one cup and toss them in the composter. Perfect for traveling, or as Becky does, keep them at your desk because who wants to clean a pesky infuser at the office?

  • Artisan mugs with traveler lids ($17). Beautiful stoneware with a modern look, these mugs come with a travel lid too so you can enjoy your pretty pottery on the go.

  • Honey ($9-$12) and a dispenser ($16). You can never have too much local honey and Catchin’ a Buzz comes from hives in the avenues of Salt Lake City. Natural honey is tasty and beautiful, but there is the challenge of crystallization… this dispenser allows you to keep it ready to use, plus it looks fun too.

  • Stovetop tea kettle ($69-$99). Eliminate the debates of guessing the water temperature, this modern looking kettle has a built in thermometer to tell you when your water is just right… and then, should you choose, there is a built-in infuser. Boil and brew all in one!

  • Tea Sampler set ($12). Only available during the holidays, choose from a green or chai tea sampler set - each tin has 3 different teas and 10 infuser bags.

  • Bhakti Chai Concentrate ($11). Gingery, spicy and not so sweet. When you gift it to your tea lover tell them it not only makes a great latte, but it’s great for baking (try replacing milk in your scones), making ice cream or even as a martini.

  • Tea towels ($15). They’ll be in stock next week in great vintage stripes of blue, grey or red stamped with “But First, Tea.” You can never have enough fresh, clean tea towels!

  • French press ($28). We find it’s the simplest and prettiest way to brew tea. Watch the color develop and the leaves unfurl while they steep. Clean up is easy too - just rinse and dry! Also appropriate for coffee drinkers.

  • Floating infusers ($10). If this “to go” infuser doesn’t bring a smile, we don’t know what will!

  • Milk Frother ($15). No fancy electric gadgets here, froth your own milk at home in seconds with a few quick pumps. We also use this to blend our matcha.

  • Turmeric Oil ($20). So your tea drinker has everything, but have they tried Golden Milk yet? We’ll share our shop recipe with you, plus other recommendations (think fried eggs, rice or quinoa) to get your turmeric boost.

  • Drinking Chocolate ($18). This rich drinking confection is not your standard cup of cocoa. Think rich dark chocolate that you slurp with a spoon. Imported from Belize, this is a treat for any chocolate lover on your list.

  • Electric kettle ($149). We’re kind of hooked on these Fellow kettles - designed for pour-over coffee but excellent for your tea habit too. Easy to dial in the perfect temperature and hold it for an hour, plus they are an art piece too. Available in matte black and some limited edition or special order colors of white, silver or copper.

And of course, we always carry a variety of mugs and brewing equipment, so swing on in and let us help you check some items off your shopping list!
