Now Hiring - Café Manager

Full-time: 40hrs/wk (week is divided into 30hrs as shift lead and 10hrs office work)

The cafe manager is responsible for helping Tea Zaanti become a must visit neighborhood establishment and a leader in creating Salt Lake City’s communi-TEA vibe. 

To be successful in this role, you are expected to have working knowledge of cafe/coffee shop management and operations. Tea Zaanti is in a growing and learning phase and we expect the manager to be intuitive and work with the owners, other manager, and staff to assure the shop is moving in the right direction. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations that deliver a top notch customer experience

  • Manage the wholesale and online operations

  • Event Management; this includes weekly musicians, monthly Drag Shows, wine events, nonprofit events, etc.

  • Build a consistent social media presence

  • Build and maintain a customer loyalty program

Shared Responsibilities:

  • Employee scheduling

  • Staff training

  • Cultivating a culture where staff feel appreciated and proud to work at Tea Zaanti

  • Machine maintenance; espresso machine, tea boilers, fridges, etc

  • Shop appearance; retail stocking & merchandising, indoor & outdoor customer areas, kitchen operations, tea & supplies storage & packing areas.

  • Help maintain inventory for cafe and tea production

And everything else that goes into operating Salt Lake’s ONLY Tea and Wine Café

Requirements:

  • Five years restaurant experience, ideally one year management experience

  • Shifts will include evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Team management skills

  • Exceptional customer service

  • Outstanding personality and the ability to create small talk
