Cafe Manager - Weekends

Tea Zaanti is a well established tea shop in Salt Lake City. We will be relocating further into the Sugar House neighborhood by late February. With this move, we’ll be expanding our cafe operations by adding additional food menu items along with wine, beer and a small market selection. 

We are seeking a Cafe Manager to join our team. The manager will be a key partner in growing Tea Zaanti, they will share the vision and help build a strong community relationship in our new neighborhood. 

You will be responsible for providing customers with a memorable experience in our specialty cafe and market. Tea Zaanti features over 60 varieties of tea plus, a small food menu, a wide offering of wine and beer as well as a variety of market offerings. All team members rotate and share duties from hosting the counter, preparing beverages, preparing food, packaging and stocking tea and other inventory items.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all cafe activities

  • Ensure a high quality of service and food preparation amongst team members

  • Train and manage personnel

  • Create and adjust staff schedules to meet needs

  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations

  • Record and manage inventory, including daily inventory logs for all wine and beer.

  • Provide superior customer experience to all patrons

  • Help create and grow the wine program and market selections

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food service or other related fields

  • Strong leadership qualities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Must meet Utah bartending age requirements

  • Knowledge of tea and wine a plus

$32,000/year plus shared tips and quarterly incentive program

Cafe Manager will primarily work Thursday thru Sunday
