Jade Oolong
Jade Oolong
About this tea: Jade oolongs are highly prized teas both for their a beautiful deep green color, and delicate floral taste. This tea is sweet and aromatic and equally refreshing brewed hot or cold.
Ingredients: Taiwanese oolong tea
Jade oolong tea is named after a specific tea tree strain developed by the Tea Research and Extension Station of Taiwan (TRES). It was officially introduced in 1981, taking over 21 years of hard work to develop. It is often credited to have spurned a definitive revival in the cultivation of and popular interest in Taiwanese oolongs. You'll first notice the small, tightly rolled balls of a jade green color. When brewed, the aroma is sweet and reminiscent of lilies; the taste is briefly tart with a lingering sweet aftertaste.
Steeping Instructions: Pour 8 oz. heated water (185-195˚F) over 1 heaping teaspoon tea and steep 2-4 minutes. Remove leaves and enjoy. Re-steep as desired.
