Earl Grey is one of the best known and popular flavored teas out there; it is typically made by blending black tea with the essential oil of bergamot - a Southeast Asian citrus fruit with a lemon-orange flavor. Stories abound of the origins of the name (Earl Grey was a British prime minister in the 1830’s), but no one knows for certain how it came about. Our Earl Grey is a blend of high quality Indian black teas and bergamot oil, resulting in a wonderfully balanced and flavorful cup. “Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.” Whether or not you’re a fan, you’ve likely heard this line, made famous by Patrick Stewart on Star Trek: The Next Generation. It just goes to show how popular tea has been (and will be) throughout history.

Steeping Instructions: Pour 6 oz. heated water (208-212˚F) over 1 teaspoon tea leaves and steep 3-5 minutes. Remove leaves and enjoy. Re-steep as desired.
