Bai Mu Dan
Bai Mu Dan
About this tea: a luxurious, sweet, creamy tea with a decadent aroma of muscatel grapes and a beautiful pale golden color.
Ingredients: Chinese white tea
This delectable tea is grown in the misty mountains of China’s Fujian province, an area with an ideal climate for growing tender, fragrant tea leaves. Bai Mu Dan is made of the tightly curled buds along with two or three tender leaves; as they dry, they take on the appearance of silvery-white petals, hence the popular name ‘White Peony’. The liquor is a pale yellow and the aroma is slightly muscatel. The sweet, creamy flavor has just a hint of vegetal notes.
Steeping Instructions: Pour 6 oz. heated water (180-190˚F) over 1 heaping tablespoon tea leaves and steep 3-4 minutes. Remove leaves and enjoy. Re-steep as desired.
